Welcome to
California Rainwater Conservation Systems
California Rainwater Conservation Systems LLC is a San Francisco Bay Area company that offers rain barrel products, workshops and consulting services in rainwater catchment. As fully accredited members of the American Rainwater Catchment Systems Association, we conduct on-site evaluations and provide recommendations to clients interested in rainwater storage. Our workshops offer hands-on instruction on how to prepare and install a system as well as the importance of rainwater harvesting from an environmental perspective. Our goal is to provide clients with the knowledge and resources they need to practice water conservation in an era of drought conditions and diminishing resources in California.
Rainwater Harvesting and Rain Barrels
Rainwater harvesting is the storage of rain in receptacles placed above or below the ground. Though rain harvesting has been in practice for centuries, the practice has been resurrected to counter drought conditions and address the need to conserve water in cities throughout the United States. Our efficient and self-sustaining rain barrels allow the user to install a unit without the use of a plumber or costly fittings. The barrels can also be easily moved and stored when not in use. We think you’ll also enjoy the extra large capacity of our barrels compared with the typical 50-60 gallon containers sold commercially.
Some of the Benefits of Rain Barrels Include:
- Less dependency on municipal water
- Exempt from drought-related water restrictions
- Ability to redirect water from storm drains that help recharge the aquifer
- Can reduce storm drainage load on municipal systems
- Rainwater is extremely low in dissolved minerals (salts) that plants love!
